Description
Barnyard mix goose hatching eggs. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY!
I have tried different methods of protecting the eggs for shipment but nothing has worked. I will no longer ship hatching eggs. I can not control what happens to them in transit.
Goose Eggs may include mixes of White Chinese and Toulouse. Our flock is primarily White Chinese (Swan Geese) but we do have two Toulouse females.
All of our goose eggs are white.
Chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch.
Goose and Duck eggs take 28 days to hatch.
Goose eggs are considered to be more complicated to hatch. Please research your hatching methods! Some hatcheries say that goose eggs need a cooling period during part of the incubation cycle. They need a higher humidity both during incubation and during hatching. And they need the large size egg turners, they will not fit in a chicken egg size automatic turner. I recommend a Brinsea or other commercial incubator.
Baby chicks can be fed either medicated or non-medicated chick starter or broiler starter.
Baby geese and ducks should only be fed non-medicated broiler or game bird starter. Never feed baby ducks or geese medicated feed! Add Niacin to their water and brewers yeast to their food to help strengthen their legs and their neurological development.
